OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY:
The WFD Coordinator II plans, coordinates, and supervises delivery of assigned non-degree, workforce continuing education programs (i.e., Human Resource Development and Occupational Extension). This position assesses needs, plans, and markets course offerings, develops, and evaluates curriculums and recruits and evaluates instructors. This position ensures community needs are met in all assigned areas and that College resources are managed effectively.
ESSENTIAL tasks & Job responsibilities:
   » Provides excellent customer service and assistance to internal and external customers through walk-in, telephone and email
   » supervises the administration and quality of Human Resource Development (HRD) and assigned Occupational Extension courses in conformity with the Continuing Education Master Course list
   » supervises the planning, directing, managing, supervising, and evaluation of assigned program areas
   » Conducts program analysis on a continuous basis, evaluating existing programs and developing new programs to ensure training meets the needs of the county job market; analyzes trends in enrollment and critical success factors and adjusts programs as needed
   » Supervises all courses in the program areas, monitoring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, accreditation standards, and audits assuring program compliance with certifying agencies guidelines
   » Establishes and maintains partnerships with area business and industry; develops proposals and performs training needs analysis to provide new courses and opportunities for customized training
   » Plans, coordinates and supervises the administration of operations, course outline preparation, contract preparation, registration, fee collection, orientation, instruction, grading and evaluation of assigned courses
   » Recruits, interviews, orients and manages adjuncts for the program area; monitors and evaluates instructor performance
   » Coordinates assigned course offering at the Craven Correctional Institution and other correctional facilities in Craven County
   » Prepares program reports and monitors budgets for all assigned courses
   » Engages community service organizations, local businesses, and speaks to groups and individuals about Workforce Development courses and programs; represents the College at public relations, business and committee meetings
   » Makes required class visits as outlined in the policy for Accountcapability and Credibility for Workforce Development
   » Coordinates the ordering of books, materials, supplies and facilities for courses in program area
   » Ensures courses are posted on the College's website and appropriate state websites
   » Participates in appropriate committees and task forces as assigned
   » Performs other job-related tasks and projects as assigned in support of the College's mission, core values and goals
MINIMUM Appropriate qualifications:
