Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill one part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Office Accounting adjunct position for the Ag Science & Marine Science Business Center at Oregon State University (OSU).

Contribute to the operational success of the AMBC by providing finance, accounting and administrative support to the managers, staff and clients of the AMBC.

Position tasks Accounts Payable

   » Process invoice payments in BennyBuy or Banner Financial Information System (FIS), send email approval request to Principal Investigators.
   » Scan and index documents into OnBase Scanning Software System.
   » Student will be required to complete all necessary training for Banner and OnBase access.
Accounting tasks

   » Under the direction of AMBC staff, prepare and post journal vouchers (journal entries) into Banner and help to reconcile budgets and other account balances.
   » Prepare or maintain tracking spreadsheets for various financial records.
   » Scan PAR forms and other documents into OnBase. Receptionist tasks

   » Answer phone
   » Direct visitors
   » Sign for deliveries
   » Sort campus and US mail into mailboxes
   » Pick up/deliver checks or other documents to and from Kerr Admin building, Dean's office (Strand Ag Hall) or departments on campus.
   » Order supplies as requested.
   » Keep supply cabinet orderly; keep track of printer and copier paper needs.
   » Update sign-in board.Miscellaneous tasks as assigned by manager and managers.

   » Maintain the capability to be reliable and responsible, including adhering to assigned schedule and effectively communicating education and/or scheduling needs in a timely manner to your manager.
   » The availability and capability to provide excellent customer service to all internal and external customers. Internal customers include the AMBC staff. External customers include all faculty, staff, and visitors from the units that the AMBC supports, OSU and the public.
   » Attention to detail, accuracy in work.
   » This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a criminal history check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq.
