Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Volunteer & Event Support Specialist positions for the College of Business at Oregon State University (OSU).

This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time positions located in Austin Hall in the College of Business Dean's Office. These positions will work under the direction of the Executive Director of Advancement to provide a combination of customer service and administrative support to the Advancement Team as well as the Dean's Office in the College of Business at Oregon State University.

The pay rate is $13.75 per hour.

Position tasks 75% Advancement Team Assistance
   » Assistance with setting up and taking down of both in-person and virtual events
   » Posting on the Team's social media accounts, making coordinated phone calls, sending out emails and newsletters to internal and external partners
   » Various large mailing projects of gifts, letters, and other printed materials
   » Social media management & marketing assistance
   » Data management, analytics, and tracking
   » Developing content for alumni and donor stewardship collateral
   » Other administrative tasks as needed
25% Dean's Suite Assistance
   » Administrative/Customer Service
   » Greeting/receiving/directing customers and visitors at the reception desk
   » Reviewing the Dean's schedule to prepare for external and internal visitors
   » Answering the Dean's Suite main line phone, picking up and sorting office mail
   » Scanning, printing, copying, record keeping, data entry, generating documents
   » Assisting with small projects and College of Business events
   » Other administrative tasks as needed
   » Office Maintenance
   » Vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sweeping, and cleaning surfaces such as tables, equipment, windows, and whiteboards
   » Watering the plants and taking out the trash

Working Conditions / Work Schedule Workplace is a typical office environment during normal working hours (8am to 5pm). However, some evening and/or weekend hours are expected on occasion to assist with events. candidates must be able to work a minimum of a 2-hour shift, but ideally will be available for 3-4 hour shifts. Students should be available to work 10-15 hours per week during the term.

Physical requirements may include remaining in a stationary position, such as sitting or standing while completing a task, and maneuvering supplies up to 50 lbs. During COVID, there will be a lot of cleaning and disinfecting on a everyday basis on top of regular tasks.

This position is expected to last through June 2022; Information technology is also available for the summer term, as well as continuation into future school years at the discretion of the Executive Director.
