About the Position
The Investment agent will provide leadership abilities and flexible support across Beacon's funding areas:
   » Closely collaborate with the initiative directors of the Beacon Fund and lead/co-lead the connected investment work to fulfill the mission of The Beacon Fund.
   » Source lead the due diligence for, and monitor investment opportunities - both direct and fund opportunities - that align with the Beacon Fund's initiatives. Investment opportunities are expected to span all asset classes and may be targeting concessionary returns or market rates of return. Quantitative and qualitative analysis will be required.
   » Identify impact metrics to measure and monitor the social impact of the investments in the Beacon Fund portfolio.
   » Collaborate with departments and other families within the family office eco-system to execute priorities and provide coordinated support to the leadership abilities of the Beacon Fund.
   » Effectively manage workflow and processes with Beacon's leadership abilities through clear communication that is simple, effective, and customized.
   » Ensure a positive practice for family members through superior customer service; be proactive in anticipating needs and provide accurate, timely resolution of issues when they arise.
   » Provide leadership abilities on investment approach, strategy, and processes, working closely with leadership abilities and team members to devise solutions that draw on practice within the team and across the family office eco-system.
   » Manage other investment projects and assignments as requested by The Beacon Fund's Managing Director or the initiative directors.
Team Building and Operations Support
   » Contribute to the effective operations and processes of our lean team to continuously ensure our resources and processes align with our ambitions.
   » Contribute to Beacon's culture by actively and thoughtfully incorporating our values and principles all over our work.
   » Coordinate with individuals across the family office to support efficient and effective execution of Beacon programs, including Communications, Legal, Investments, Operations, and others.

Qualifications

Qualifications required for your success:
   » 5+ years of impact investment practice at a social impact fund, investment bank, commercial bank, consulting firm, or investment manager.
   » Bachelor's degree
   » Advanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint expertise
Additional Preferred Qualifications that would support your success:
   » MBA or CFA preferred
   » Entrepreneurial (or intrapreneurial) practice, taking and managing connected risks and working in early-stage companies
   » expertise of, or at least demonstrated interest in, the impact areas of immigration, food access, and education/workforce development.
   » Exceptional quantitative and analytical expertise
   » Excellent written and oral communication expertise
   » Proven expertise at organization and time management
   » Client service orientation
   » availability to travel

Compensation Range: $175k
