Position Summary The Department of Athletics is seeking an adjunct Athletic Director Business Operations, Human Resources and DEIB. This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 12-month, professional faculty position.

The mission of the OSU Department of Athletics is to Go Build Excellent, Authentic, Visionary Student-Athletes (GO B.E.A.V.S.).

The purpose of this position is to participate and collaborate all day-to-day operations of the Athletic Department Business Office, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, travel and medical related revenues and expenses. The adjunct AD assists in some financial reporting including NCAA audit, Department of Education EADA (Equity in Athletics Disclosure) report and NCAA EADA reports. This position directs segments of business operations for assigned unit of operation in support of OSU's goals and mission. May establish, implement and/or evaluate organization's goals/policies. This position will also participate in human resource work under the direction of the CFO and the CDO assisting with the HR process on recruitment, interviews, hiring, onboarding and retention. This position will be one of the main contacts for the day to day operations of HR helping managers through the process. The adjunct AD will also be the main camp contact helping with the overall process as well as tracking the HR functionality of camps. They will also participate on the Youth program partners committee ensuring safe and current practices are being followed.

Position tasks 40% HUMAN RESOURCES
Assists CFO in human resource process. Maintains CHC (Criminal History Check) database. Helps hiring managers with position descriptions and recruitment efforts. Assists with the coordination of the interview and onboarding process. This position will also then help with employee engagement and retention efforts in the department this will consist of but will not be limited to the mentor program, staff connection activities, closing feedback loops with managers, mandatory campus training coordinator. This position will also work with the CFO/CDO on activities and trainings related to DEIB that are mandated by the NCAA as well as those that are prioritized by the athletic department community.

15% DEPARTMENT BUDGET OPERATIONS
This position will assist with maintaining and monitoring the online budget process for the department. Has budget authority and will be responsible for approving expenses for all units within the department, as well as authorizing purchases located on individual budgets within units. Assists with monthly departmental internal reporting and annual external reporting, such as the U.S. Department of Education gender equity report, the NCAA EADA (Equity in Athletics Disclosure) report, and the PAC-12 post-season expense reimbursement reporting. This position will also be analyzing current processes, preparing reports to assist CFO/Assoc AD; makes recommendations located on analysis of current audit and operational practices. These responsibilities will lead to decisions that can impact both the department, and the University as a whole.

15% CAMP COORDINATION
Lead department contact for camp activities, providing coordination with youth safety, human resources, compliance, facilities and our athletic sport programs. Participates as part of the Youth Program Partners Council making sure to keep up on best practices within athletics, and University settings. This position helps with the budgeting of camp activities as well as the HR set up of employees. Also has the responsibility of overloads for camp related activities once budgets have been addressed.

10% LEAD WORK
Provides, assigns, and approves lead work. Independently works to resolve issues and provide options and recommendations to staff as issues arise in the day-to-day operations of the Athletics Business Office. Serves as a member of the senior staff in the Athletic Department and actively participates in meetings resulting in potential policy changes and overall strategic planning for the department. Will be expected to work in collaboration with internal partners such as: Athletic Department Administration, Sports Information, Coaches, Business Center Finance staff, PCMM (Procurement and Contracts Material Management), Risk Management, BAFF (Business Affairs), University HR, Internal Audit, and Capital Planning. This position will also be expected to work with external groups such as: opponent Athletic Department staff, NCAA, PAC-12 Office and OSU Foundation.

10% STRATEGIC PLANNING
Provides recommendations to CFO/Assoc AD/CDO regarding the strategic plan of the unit. Independently analyzes policies and procedures, makes recommendations, and implements changes that result in turnkey, efficient, and streamlined processes for coaches and administrators as well as others, within guidelines set forth by OSU, NCAA and the PAC-12.

5% GAME CONTRACTS
Works with coaches, team administrative/operational staff, and sport administrators on game schedules. Writes and executes game contracts for both home and away contests. Partners with OSU staff, PCMM, and opponent's administration in negotiating game contract business points, as well as resolving issues that may arise relating to contracts.

5% OTHER
Other tasks as assigned by the CFO/Assoc AD.

Minimum/Required Qualifications
   » Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources or related field.
   » Three (3) years of practice in or supporting an NCAA Athletics Business Office.
   » Human Resources practice.
   » practice working with coaches and support staff.
   » A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
