Position Title:: Program Manager, Maguire Academy of Insurance and Risk Management

Position Summary or Faculty Appropriate qualifications: POSITION SUMMARY:

The primary responsibility of this position is to help advance the mission of the Maguire
Academy of Insurance and Risk Management (MAIRM) by increasing its operational effectiveness. Additionally, the Program Manager will provide support to the MAIRM Executive Director, Associate Director and Instructors. The Program Manager will also support the goals of the Maguire Academy : Engage the Students, Enrich the Curriculum, and Enhance the Brand.

tasks and Job responsibilities:: tasks AND RESPONSIBILITIES : (include but are not limited to)

Essential tasks:

I. Increase Operational Effectiveness of the Maguire Academy
   » Coordinate board meetings and quarterly conference calls/zoom meetings;
   » Assisting with the management of the Board's sub committees;
   » Taking notes during Board meetings;
   » Implement Maguire Academy scorecard highlighting key success metrics;
   » Assist with gathering the necessary data for the scorecard;
   » Maintain and improve alumni engagement database;
   » Performing other clerical/administrative tasks as needed.
II. Enhance the Brand
The MAIRM Program Manager will assist the Executive Director and Associate Director in enhancing the program's brand by:
   » Assisting the Executive Director with continuously improving the MAIRM webpage;
   » Help increase the visibility of the Maguire Academy as a ?Thought leadership abilities?
   » hub of the industry through coordinating Industry Symposia (2 to 4 per academic year). Support of symposia will include:
   » Serving on the Planning Committees
   » Handling the logistics for symposia including:
   » Developing marketing materials;
   » Interfacing with Information technology as far as the support needed for the symposia;
   » Setting up conference registration on SJU Marketplace;
   » Maintaining the data base of industry contacts for invitations to MAIRM events;
   » Managing the registrations;
   » Surveying attendees following events;
   » Filing for and tracking Continuing Education and/or Continuing Legal Education credits for symposia attendees;
   » Performing other clerical/administrative tasks as needed.
III. Engage Students
The Program Manager will assist the Executive Director and Associate Director in engaging the Maguire Academy students by:
   » Continuously updating the distribution list for current students;
   » Assisting Executive Director with continuously improving the MAIRM Program Canvas page;
   » Assist the Faculty Advisors and Gamma Iota Sigma agents with the management of the Alpha Omega Chapter;
   » Assist Gamma Iota Sigma with logistics for events including requisitioning of rooms;
   » Assist the Gamma Iota Sigma Finance Team with requisitions and bill payments;
   » Assist with paying of expenditures for events;
   » Manage the logistics for faculty and student attendance at conferences;
   » Performing other clerical/administrative tasks as needed.

Minimum Requirements:: MINIMUM Appropriate qualifications: (Education/Training and practice)
Required:
   » Bachelor's Degree required and some practice in the insurance and risk management industry is preferred.
   » Demonstrated excellence in networking, presentation and writing expertise Preferred:

Hiring Range: $48,000-$52,000
