Position Title:: Program Recruiter - Food Marketing
Open to:: Internal and External candidates
Full-Time or Part-Time Status: : Full-Time, 12 months

Position Summary or Faculty Appropriate qualifications: Program Recruiter-Food Marketing

Needs to be innovative in order to develop and implement a comprehensive Food Marketing
parallel strategy which focuses on attracting both prospective and incoming freshmen to select
Food Marketing as their major. Serve as the primary Food Marketing recruitment contact through a range of recruitment strategies and benchmarks for the purpose of increasing applications and enrollment into the Food Marketing program. Evaluate the effectiveness of the Food Marketing recruitment strategies and make recommendations to enhance the effectiveness and productivity of enrolling students into the program.Responsible for project management and execution of all Food Marketing recruitment event such as but not limited to receptions, Zoom/Teams virtual recruitment sessions, campus tours, receptions, high school recruitment events, etc.

tasks and Job responsibilities:: On-Campus Outreach
   » Work closely with the Office of Admission in order to highlight the benefits of a Saint Joseph's University education and specializing in the Food Marketing program
   » Build relationships and encourage prospective candidates as well as matriculated students to choose Food Marketing as their major
   » Conduct on-campus meetings with prospective students and their families in order to forge connections and a deeper knowledge of the Food Marketing program
   » Develop, arrange, and manage all on-campus Food Marketing recruiting activities for prospective and incoming freshman students
   » Represent, recruit, and provide the Food Marketing program information on all on-campus student outreach activities; for example, but not limited to: activity fairs, career fairs, Discovery Days, Walk with a Hawk Shadow Days, etc?

Off-Campus Outreach
   » Collaborate and coordinate with the Office of Admission, off-campus, cost-efficient Food Marketing recruitment appointments to promote the Food Marketing program
   » Work with high schools, community colleges, DECA, and any organization which has potential recruitment opportunities in order to establish consciousness of and a relationship with our Food Marketing program
   » Develop relationships with guidance counselors, academic advisors, deans, professors, teachers, and community leaders
Communication
   » Design effective and targeted Food Marketing recruitment presentations, marketing materials, newsletters, bulletins, and brochures, for both prospective and incoming freshman Food Marketing majors
   » Update the Food Marketing recruitment web page along with social media content
   » Provide guidance and advice to prospective students, incoming freshmen, current Saint Joseph's University students, parents, and staff on all matters related to the Food Marketing program
   » Regularly interface with campus departments and external groups in order to promote and support Food Marketing recruitment efforts
   » Interpret student data from events and outcome surveys to determine recruitment trends and conversions in order to make recommendations to pivot recruitment strategies when required
   » capability to present to the Academy of Food Marketing and the Food Marketing Educational Foundation's Board of Governors, when needed, at board meetings
   » Meet with Admission Counselors and the Office of Admission a minimum of two times per academic year to provide updates and coordinate details related to the strategy
   » Follow up with phone calls, emails, and texts, given Information technology is an important element in the recruitment process
   » Maintain a database of contacts and formulate program data statistics and conversion information

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours::
   » Some evening and weekend work on occasions for functions related to recruitment activities (As needed)
   » capability to lift up to 10 lbs (If needed)
   » Standing for students fairs and recruitment events
Minimum Requirements::
   » Demonstrated capability to work independently, organize and set priorities, and take initiative in a fast-paced environment
   » Strong communication (written and verbal) and relationship management expertise
   » capability to create new and efficient ways to manage goals, objectives, and responsibilities
   » Skilled at making presentations in meetings and in front of an audience
   » Mastery of the suite of Microsoft Office programs, Google Workspace applications, and Zoom platform
   » Working knowledge of web page development and social media, in order to help maintain the AFM's online presence

Preferred Appropriate qualifications::
   » Bachelor's Degree
   » Valid Drivers License
   » Previous practice in secondary education, higher education, sales, or marketing
Additional Information::
Hiring Range: $44,000-$48,000
