Job tasks ECU Athletics is hiring a full-time dynamic, forward-thinking content manager to supervise the department's presence on all social media platforms while working closely with marketing, video, and media relations departments. The ideal candidate has the capability to work independently and will hold a passion for connecting with current and future supporters to help ECU Athletics grow its brand. The individual in this function will be charged with superviseing the channel-specific strategy and development of all content for the department's social channels and video platforms. This position will assist the Pirate Club with social media creation and distribution and perform other tasks as assigned.

A prosperous candidate will have a proven track record of developing content strategy, smartly integrating corporate partners, developing content series and platforms and showcasing a deep knowledge of how storytelling moves business forward. The candidate will have a basic level of photo editing practice and be proficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and Lightroom. The candidate will also have excellent organization, communication, and planning expertise.

The professional in this position will build quality relationships and work collaboratively and professionally with Pirate Club, athletics, and University staff, students, business vendors and all donors and stakeholders. Further, this position will abide by all written policies and procedures of ECU, the Department of Athletics, The Educational Foundation (Pirate Club), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), and all applicable conferences or associations.

Nights, weekends, holidays, extended hours, and travel are required in the performance of tasks.

Minimum Education/practice Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

License or Certification required by statute or regulation None

Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education Bachelor's degree and one year of practice related to the area of assignment

Minimum one (1) year of practice in content development, digital media, social media or related field. Not required to be full-time practice

Provide past social media work examples (personal or professional projects)
