The school is looking to fill faculty positions within the Software Engineering and Programing Languages research focus areas.    Exceptional candidates in other areas of computer science are also welcome to apply.

Position Summary The School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track adjunct/Associate/Full Professor position.

The prosperous candidate is expected to initiate new funded research as well as expand, complement, and collaborate with existing research programs in the School, the College of Engineering, and beyond. The prosperous candidate is also expected to execute tasks related to teaching, student advising, advancing appropriate research and other scholarly activities, and service activities.

   » Teaching of undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Computer Science or Electrical and Computer Engineering.

   » Research, scholarship, mentoring students and management of multidisciplinary research programs.

   » Service to the School, College and/or University.
   » Participate in regional and national professional service activities.
Minimum/Required Qualifications Minimum/Required Qualifications at the level of adjunct Professor:
   » PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline prior to position start date.
   » Demonstrated capability or significant potential for excellent teaching.
   » Demonstrated capability or significant potential for leading and collaborating in innovative research.
   » Demonstrated capability or significant potential for attracting the necessary funding to sustain a vigorous research program.
   » Proven oral and written communication expertise.
   » A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Minimum/Required Qualifications at the level of Associate or Full Professor:
   » Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or other related discipline.
   » Demonstrated capability to provide inspiration and leadership abilities in teaching.
   » Demonstrated capability to provide inspiration and leadership abilities in research.
   » Demonstrated capability for attracting the necessary funding to sustain a vigorous research program.
   » Proven oral and written communication expertise.
   » A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing the diversity and excellence of the academic community.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications Preferred Qualifications at the level of adjunct Professor:
   » Postdoctoral and/or industry practice.

Preferred Qualifications at the level of Associate or Full Professor:
   » capability to build collaborative ties with other departments within the College of Engineering, University and beyond.
