Position Title:: Marketing Specialist
Open to:: Internal and External candidates
Full-Time or Part-Time Status: : Full-Time, 12 months

Position Summary or Faculty Appropriate qualifications: The Marketing Specialist is the central contact point for all marketing and advertising workflow as well as work product, including ad flights (70-75 ads per quarter), marketing collateral and a variety of branded and promotional assets. The Marketing Specialist is responsible for scheduling and tracking all tasks and moving them through various stages of development and reviews. He/she/they work closely with the marketing team and utilize the division's project management system, Workfront, to keep track of every job status.

The Marketing Specialist ensures that all work is completed within the scheduled deadlines. The Marketing Specialist will also work with project leads and area liaisons to adjust job deadlines as needed while still meeting the needs of the University. The Marketing Specialist will also serve as a project manager for marketing specific projects, including annual efforts like collateral redesigns

The Marketing Specialist reports to the Director of Marketing but also supports the Senior Director of Marketing, VP of Marketing and Communications and other senior leaders in the division.

tasks and Job responsibilities:: Primary Job responsibilities:
   » Leading and coordinating campaigns from initial stages through to delivery
   » Ensuring that each stage of the project is satisfactorily completed according to creative brief, budget, resource and deadline deliverables
   » Monitoring current traffic processes and inputting ideas on how to improve current practices
   » Supporting the Director of Marketing in evaluating and establishing the marketing plan strategy including setting objectives, planning and organizing promotional presentations, and updating calendars
   » contact with external vendors to execute promotional events and campaigns
   » Executing project management tasks related to campaign and marketing asset development including liaising with other key departments
   » Ensures that each staff member knows the assignments that they need to complete and the due dates. Act as the mediator between all team members to establish and re-evaluate priorities
   » Assists with the tactical execution of annual strategic marketing plans. Analyze marketing data (campaign results, conversion rates, traffic etc.) to help shape future of marketing campaigns by maintaining and reporting on A/B testing in Workfront
   »
Supports the development of institutional and program collateral, case studies, student testimonials and other similar materials
   » Maintains professional and technical expertise by attending online marketing webinars and reviewing professional publications
   » Assist Marketing directors and team with administrative tasks as needed
Secondary Job responsibilities::
   »
Provide additional support in communications and PR initiatives, both internally and externally, as needed
   » Serve as a divisional training resource for the division's project management system, Workfront
   » Other tasks as assigned

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:: The position may require long periods spent in front of a computer. In addition, weekend and after-hours work may be required.

Minimum Requirements::
   » Bachelor's degree in marketing, advertising, communications or related field.
   » 1-3 years of practice working as a marketing adjunct or marketing coordinator.
   » Solid expertise base of paid media strategies; advertising processes; ad development; digital marketing fundamentals (e.g., lead generation form creation and ad tracking and reporting); marketing collateral development, design and printing; branding and promotions.
   » Basic expertise and comfort in CMS systems (Drupal and WordPress preferred).
   » practice working with creative teams, printers and other vendors.
   » Excellent written, organizational, communication, interpersonal, and presentation expertise.
   » Creativity and persistence in working with a variety of individuals to create or update content.
   » Familiarity with Google Analytics and the Google Marketing Platform.
   » Demonstrated capability to prioritize and project-manage work and manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously and in a highly organized fashion.
   » Strong attention to detail and capability to exercise good judgment.
   » capability to work independently and with a team of technical and non-technical staff.
   » Proven project or account management practice
   » Skilled at working under pressure

Preferred Appropriate qualifications::
   » expertise of administration of project management platforms such Workfront.
   » expertise of or practice with enrollment management system Slate.
   » Familiarity with SEO and SEM best practices
   » Prior practice working in the higher education industry
   » Some practice with budget management
   » Solid expertise of social media advertising platforms and Google AdWords
   » Resourcing practice with high volume traffic projects
   » Familiarity with Adobe Software (InDesign, Illustrator and Photoshop)
