Position Summary The College of Pharmacy invites applications for a part-time 0.15 FTE, 12-month, fixed-term Instructor position. Reappointment is at the discretion of the Dean.

This position will teach on a term-by-term basis in the specialty area of advanced evidence-located pharmaceutical care and population health.

The primary mission of the College of Pharmacy program is to advance societal health through leadership abilities in pharmacy education, research, community engagement, and improved patient care. This position in the PharmD professional program will develop lectures and projects in a one-term course that teaches evaluation of the literature and design of projects related to drug utilization and advancement of population health.

This Instructor will be responsible for creation of the course syllabus; and design, preparation and oversight of activities to reinforce advanced concepts. The Instructor will also select and provide oversight of guest lecturers and experts from industry or regulatory agencies to participate in the course as needed.

Position tasks 100% - Instruction: Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing and presenting teaching materials; creating and grading assignments, quizzes, and exams; determining grades; and holding office hours, as necessary.

Minimum/Required Qualifications BS Pharmacy or PharmD degree with at least 5 years of paid practice as a pharmacist and/or pharmacy educator.

Demonstrated skills in the area of pharmaceutical utilization, quality improvement of care, and population health.

Demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications practice teaching pharmacy students in the classroom setting.

Working Conditions / Work Schedule Teaching assignment will be on-campus in Portland in the College of Pharmacy's space in the RLSB on the OHSU campus with potential for distance education/interactions for some components.
