The candidate will perform basic laboratory maintenance tasks, including: glassware washing, stocking/ordering cell culture and molecular biological reagents and supplies, autoclaving, invoice/order maintenance, and waste disposal. Position tasks » Glassware washing/autoclaving » Tissue/cell culture room maintenance (stocking with pipettes, plates, flasks, media, antibiotics, etc.) » Ordering reagents and supplies, including oligonucleotide primers, DNA amplification reagents, and cell culture supplies and reagents. » Disposal and autoclaving of cell culture waste materials. Minimum Qualifications Employment Eligibility Requirements (http://fa.oregonstate.edu/stu-manual/500-employment-eligibility-requiremen ts) Additional Required Qualifications Candidate should have ~3 months practice in a molecular biological laboratory, and possess familiarity with cell culture, protein blotting, transient transfections, and RT-PCR. This position is designated as a critical or security-sensitive position; therefore, the incumbent must prosperously complete a Criminal History Check and be determined to be position qualified as per OSU Standard 576-055-0000 et seq. Incumbents are required to self-report convictions and those in Youth Programs may have additional Criminal History Checks every 2 years.
