Posting DetailsPosting Number: FAE1260Advertised Title: Professor of Practice, Construction Engineering and Management Campus Job location: Main Campus (Memphis, TN) Position Number: 021356 Job Category: Full-Time Faculty Department: Civil Engineering Position Summary: A Professor of Practice position in Construction Engineering and Management (CEM) is available starting as early as January 2022 at the University of Memphis. The position will be housed in the Department of Civil Engineering but will serve the CEM concentrations in both the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Engineering Technology. The Memphis metropolitan area is strategically located in the largest construction market in the mid-south, with opportunities for faculty involvement and collaboration with major construction firms who are providing funding for this position. candidates must have a master's degree. Practical practice in Construction Engineering and Management desired. Individuals with a PhD or appropriate certifications are encouraged to apply. The focus for the faculty member will be teaching undergraduate courses in CEM; other responsibilities include taking a leading function as the CEM Curriculum Coordinator for both the Department of Civil Engineering and the Department of Engineering Technology, student advising (including a student organization focused on CEM), and construction industry liaison (e.g., coordinator for construction internships). This is a non-tenure track full-time position with full benefits.
