About Our Job:

The Accountant is responsible for preparing general ledger entries, performing account reconciliations, assisting with the month- and year-end close processes, payroll processing, and revenue and grant tracking for CPR, KRCC, Denverite and all current and future related entities.

As a Accountant II, You Will:

   » Prepare month-end corporate sponsorships (Underwriting) and contributions (Membership) revenue entries; reconcile subledger accounts
   » Monitor and track grant revenue to include proper recognition; assist leadership abilities Giving with compliance reporting
   » Track stock and estate gifts, including stock transfers; reconcile balances between membership and finance
   » Coordinate with HR department on payroll activity; prepare payroll report for submission by HR
   » Prepare payroll journal entries; maintain payroll-related records and reports
   » Monitor all capital projects; maintain fixed asset records; calculate monthly depreciation
   » Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
   » Assist with month- and year-end closing processes
   » Prepare monthly department financial reports
   » Provide budget process support

Minimum Appropriate qualifications:

   » Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration or equivalent combination of education and practice required.
   » Minimum 3 years of related work practice or in lieu of a degree, 5 years of related work practice.
   » knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
   » Intermediate to advance knowledge in Microsoft Office Suites
   » practice with accounting systems (Great Plains a plus)
   » practice with general ledger functions and month- and year-end close processes
   » practice with payroll systems (Paylocity a plus)
   » Non-profit practice a plus
   » Excellent verbal and written communication expertise
   » capability to interact effectively with all levels of management and staff as well as donors
   » Strong organizational expertise with a availability and capability to multi-task
