Position Summary This recruitment will be used to fill two part-time (a maximum of 20 hours per week) Collaboration Team Members for the Craft Center at Oregon State University (OSU).

The OSU Craft Center seeks a motivated, creative and dependable student to join the Craft Center's Admin team as a student leader who will play a key function in outreach efforts and in the development and execution of collaborative programming and events as well as promoting the Craft Center through events and social media. The Craft Center is a creative campus resource where OSU students & community can foster their creativity, gain hands-on learning practices, find and build community and where wellness and life balance are fostered through arts engagement. Position tasks Collaboration & Event Planning:
   » Work with the campus cultural centers, student organizations & clubs, community arts organizations, and university departments on collaborations, and to build strong relationships between groups.
   » Generate ideas for, plan, and schedule activities.
   » Make space reservations and calendar submissions for collaborative events and activities.
   » Coordinate with workers/volunteers and/or collaborators in a professional and timely manner.
   » Work with Prof. Staff and Collab Team to plan, strategize, research materials, order supplies, equipment, etc. for special events.
leadership abilities Development & Other possible Work Opportunities:
   » Train/teach arts/craft techniques & expertise to workers and participants
   » Take a leading function in the planning, coordination and superviseing of collaborative arts activities.
   » Serve as a leader to develop and maintain best strategy for marketing & outreach that are student focused.
   » May research and identify possible grant or funding opportunities to help grow our program, with possible opportunity to participate in grant writing in support of our programs.
   » Communications and planning with other programs and departments. Outreach & Promotion :
   » General promotion of the OSU Craft Center and its many programs, may include: setting up & manning information booths, coordinating CC promotion at START, Pre-Fall term & 1st week programs, Annual Holiday Marketplace, Lonesome Pottery Sales, Family Weekends and more.
   » Catalog editing assistance & catalog distribution.
   » Identify and implement new ways to market the Craft Center's services on campus.
   » Represent the Craft Center in a professional manner.
   » Become familiar with Craft Center operations, policies, and procedures.
   » Will become familiar and adhere to university brand requirements for marketing purposes.

   » Good communication, writing, and interpersonal expertise.
   » Strong time management expertise, attention to detail, and relicapability.
   » practice and expertise of Art/Crafts materials and techniques.
   » A availability to try new crafts.
   » Interest and comfort in communicating with OSU's diverse campus population.
   » A positive attitude.
Preferred (Special) Qualifications
   » Creativity and some graphic design expertise a plus, but not required.
   » Some familiarity and/or practice in advertising/marketing.
   » Preference is given to qualified Workstudy candidates
Working Conditions / Work Schedule Work schedule:
   » Flexible but employee must remain responsive to workload and attentive to deadlines.
   » The prosperous candidate will work 5-20 hours per week during the academic year, depending on workload need and self- motivation to propose and execute new avenues that support the Craft Center's overall mission.
