Position Title:: adjunct Director of Community Standards
Open to:: Internal and External candidates
Full-Time or Part-Time Status: : Full-Time, 12 months

Position Summary or Faculty Appropriate qualifications: The adjunct Director of Community Standards serves as an integral member of the Office of Community Standards, through coordination of a comprehensive educational student conduct system and implementation of educational programs and interventions for students. The adjunct Director proactively contributes to the learning and development of students by fostering an knowledge and commitment to the rights and responsibilities of the larger University community in the spirit of the University's Jesuit and Catholic mission.

tasks and Job responsibilities:: • Coordinates a comprehensive educational student conduct system, including but not limited to: trainings, case assignments, the consistent and fair application of standards, sanction development, and sanction compliance.
• Serves as a hearing agent for alleged violations of the University's Community Standards.
• Manages alternative case resolution processes (e.g. conflict resolution, facilitated dialogues, mediations, and restorative justice).
• Serves as an office liaison to the Office of Residence Life and the Office of Public Safety & Security for student complaints, incident reports, investigations, and dispositions.
• Provides oversight for all hearing agents regarding Community Standards matters.
• Recruits, trains, advises, mentors, and evaluates members of the student Peer Review Board.
• Facilitates all aspects of the Community Standards Advisor program, including but not limited to: recruitment, training, advisement, promotion, and evaluation.
• Manages information technology needs as they relate to the Office of Community Standards, including but not limited to: website, student conduct software (e.g. StarRez), and related portals.
• Provides quantitative and qualitative information for assessment and compliance all over the year.
• Facilitates campus wide programming that encourages inclusion, respect, and accountcapability, while bringing consciousness to the work of the Office of Community Standards.
• Serves in absence of the Director of Community Standards.

Secondary Job responsibilities:: • The person who holds this position has been classified as a Campus Security Authority under the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act (Clery Act).
• Serves as a member of Advisory Council on Alcohol, Drugs, and Student Health, as well as additional committees, as needed.
• Supports and participates in trainings, meetings, professional seminars, and events significant to the responsibilities of the position.
• Works collaboratively with members of Student Life and others members of the University community to support the integration of the mission of the Division of Student and the achievement of short- and long-term goals and objectives that are aligned with the goals of Student Life and the University.
• Communicates the Jesuit, Catholic philosophy and University policies to students, parents, and others, as appropriate.
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism and serves as a positive function model to staff and students.
• Works respectfully with all staff, students, and parents regardless of their race, religious affiliation, sexual orientation, national origin, gender identity, age, or discapability.
• Fulfills additional responsibilities as warranted by student needs and organizational priorities.
• Shares on-call duty rotation for evening, weekends, and University holidays.

Physical Requirements and/or Unusual Work Hours:: • Some travel related to conferences.
• Occasional evening or weekend hours in order to attend programs, training sessions, and meet with students and student organizations.

Hiring Range- $50,000-$55,000

Minimum Requirements:: • Master's degree with significant practice.
• Minimum 3 years of professional practice in higher education.
• knowledge of and commitment to the mission of Saint Joseph's University.

Preferred Appropriate qualifications:: • Prior student conduct practice.
