Additionally, Information technology is the mission of the department to provide model comprehensive primary and consultative subspecialty care to children of eastern North Carolina, to advance scientific expertise through basic and clinical research, and to provide continuing medical education opportunities for physicians in the region. Job tasks This position is located in a clinical site and is involved in the following functions: Registration Scheduling Cashiering Scheduling/Entering New Referrals Telephone Operations Managed Care Authorizations CLINICAL SUPPORT POSITION - NOT SUBJECT TO STATE HUMAN RESOURCES ACT. The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Minimum Education/practice High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office practice; or equivalent combination of training and practice. License or Certification required by statute or regulation N/A Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education Associate Degree in Medical Office Administration, Business Administration, Healthcare Management Technology, or other related degree from an accredited two year program with one year of medical front desk/clinical patient access services practice.
