Organization website: http://www.nationaltheatre.com Is this a remote / work in the house position?: No, this is a site-located position Job descriptionTitle: Data SpecialistReports to: Director, School Communications and in her absence, Data Manager Employment Type: Hourly contract position, 40 hours a week The National Theatre for Children facilitates educational programs for schools nationwide, and we use Salesforce CRM to track data related to participating schools, educators, campaign communications, and more. We need your help to organize and clean the data we're tracking! As Data Specialist, you will review and correct individual records in our Salesforce CRM system and perform mass data uploads, updates and corrections into our Salesforce CRM system. You will connect with our School Communications team to prepare accurate information for their use in communicating with schools who host our in-school and virtual theatre programs. This is a temp-to-hire position. You will be trained on our database and processes. Within 3-6 months, our hope is to advance this function into a full-time exempt position managing data systems, provided this is a mutual fit for us and our hire! As a creative arts organization, we welcome and value creative people with backgrounds in the arts, theatre and music - yes, even in a data-related left-brained function! Job Job responsibilities: As the Data Specialist, you will review and correct individual records in our Salesforce CRM system and perform mass data uploads, updates and corrections into our Salesforce CRM system. We will have you begin a data clean-up project to review school account records and contact records in Salesforce CRM to correct errors, resolve duplicates, and match NTC's data against our data provider, Datalocity/MCH. Through this project, you will also receive training on NTC's database layout with custom objects, and how NTC's unique datasets and processes are represented in our database, with the intent that job responsibilities will grow! You are: •Communicative with manager and trainer. •Thorough and detail-oriented. •Interested in seeing the big-picture framework and purpose of our data, to provide context and direction for the details. •Reliable and responsible, able to work productively and independently with a minimal amount of oversight. •Strong writing expertise - with attention to specificity, spelling, and accuracy. •Eagle-eyed - you can spot inconsistencies and ?needle in a haystack? errors in data entry and records. •Quick worker and quick thinker. •Able to work productively and independently with a minimal amount of oversight. •Able to stare into a screen and data details for long periods of time, and keep your eyes uncrossed! Qualifications or requirementsexpertise you possess:•Advanced Microsoft Excel expertise and expertise of formulas (Vlookups, etc.) •You have worked within CRM databases before and understand relational databases. •practice with Salesforce Lightning CRM is a plus. •practice with HTML or other coding a plus. •High school diploma or comparable degree.
