Position Summary This is a full-time (1.0 FTE), 9-month, tenure-track appointment in the Department of Agricultural Education and Agricultural Sciences at Oregon State University (OSU), focusing on agricultural science and natural resources communications. This person will focus on providing innovative instruction in Agricultural Communications. The individual will teach, recruit, and mentor undergraduate and graduate students, conduct a nationally recognized research and scholarly program and engage in service activities that further the growth of our undergraduate and graduate programs. Positions with primary responsibility for extension and outreach are likewise committed to learner success through programming appropriate for a diverse audience. Position tasks 50% Teaching, Advising, and Other Assignments Teach undergraduate and graduate coursework within the department specific to Agricultural Communications. Advise undergraduate students in Agricultural Communications and advise department graduate students. 50% Research, Scholarship, and Creative Activity Design and conduct research leading to new expertise related to Agricultural Science and Natural Resource Communications. Actively seek extramural grants and contracts supporting research and areas of focus within the department. Guide and coordinate the research of graduate students as an integral component of the department.
