Position Title:: Associate Director of Business Affairs & Analytics
Open to:: Internal and External candidates
Full-Time or Part-Time Status: : Full-Time, 12 months
Staff Employment Type:: Salaried/Exempt
Position Summary or Faculty Appropriate qualifications: Plan and direct administration and services and educational activities in furtherance of the university's Academic Affairs. Formulate the university's academic affairs strategic plan in coordination with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness.

tasks and Job responsibilities::
   » Prepare academic and financial reports to the Associate Provost to support linkages between assessment, planning, and budgeting.
   » Perform business and financial analysis management reporting processes that determine enrollment, revenue, and expense projections for diverse educational programs in the university.
   » Provide financial forecasting, budget planning, expense management, variance analysis, management reporting processes, management analytics and data analytics to achieve the academic and business objectives.
   » supervise all revenue and cost projections for graduate and undergraduate tuition and other revenue streams, including technology and facilities.
   » Direct quarterly enrollment and revenue forecasting tools for graduate and adult programs located on statistical analysis and budget matters.
   » Administer the implementation of agreed-upon budgets and ensure the alignment of departmental expense budgets.
   » Perform critical budgeting and financial metric reporting processes that have implications on capital requests from university facilities.
   » supervise Information technology requests and technology issues, including software, computer, and related acquisitions. Enable the university to efficiently acquire capital assets, monitor their use through time, and measure critical academic initiatives in terms of gross margins, net margins, financial metrics, operation key performance indicators, and return on investment analysis.
   » Provide assistance to faculty and staff including teaching undergraduate courses and developing curricula in Business Administration and Finance as needed.
   » Coordinate with the Office of Financial Affairs to maintain an accurate and detailed record of income and wage information in the university's budgeting system.
   » Develop, direct, and manage multiple projects, including financial plans, resource allocation, P&L reports, cost metric reports, and risk management reports.
   » Utilize relational databases and an institutional data warehouse. Perform data reporting using Cognos and Banner 9. Work with Anaplan, the SAS distributed platform.

   » Master of Business Administration, or foreign equivalent.
   » Must have: 5 years performing budgeting, forecasting, management analytics, and data analytics; developing, directing, and managing multiple projects, including financial plans, resource allocations, P&L reports, cost metric reports, and risk management reports; utilizing relational databases and an institutional data warehouse.
   » 2 years performing data reporting using Cognos and Banner 9; and 1 year working with Anaplan, the SAS distributed platform.
