Minimum QualificationsRequired expertise:» Excellent written and oral communication expertise. Position DescriptionThis new position will be a temporary part-time position to be financed with pandemic relief funds. The person in this position will focus primarily on projects financed with pandemic relief funds, assisting the project sponsor(s) and coordinator(s) toward testing, other analysis, and full implementation. The person's work area will be located near others in the Information Services Office. As a full-time position, the position would be classified as B22. As a temporary part-time position, the position will be paid $16 per hour. The person in this position will work no more than 29 hours per week for the next 12 months, provided pandemic relief funds are available.The Business Analyst (BA) will assist the Information Services Director in the management of the project work by facilitating with project sponsors, development team, and business stakeholders as necessary using agile methodologies. The BA will elicit business requirements (features & user stories) for incoming project requests. The BA will assist in identifying and detailing acceptance criteria for upcoming stories. The BA will ask business stakeholders probing questions to ensure the development team understands the requested work. The BA is expected to lgain and understand the business processes in order to identify possible enhancements for the business and improve the value to the end user. EXAMPLE OF tasks: » Works independently in assisting the business in building upon the project definition, description and vision document, which may include scope, risk, and identification of stakeholders with infrequent oversight. » Plans, coordinates, and creates written documentation that clearly describes the needs of the business, which may include Business Requirements, Business Use Cases, Process Models, Business Needs Analysis, or Conceptual Design Documents. » Gathers requirements, researches and analyzes existing, and proposed solutions in the development, modification, or enhancement of programs or systems. » Engages in dependency analysis, functional design, workflow analysis, use case analysis, data and process modeling, and has a clear knowledge of the current and future business rules.
