Worcester Technical High School, a blue ribbon technical vocational school is soliciting applications for the 2021-2022 school year. The prosperous applicant will be accountable for teaching students the Automotive Technology Chapter 74 Career Vocational Technical Education (CVTE) state frameworks and curriculum disciplines under the direction of the Automotive Technology Department Head.at Worcester Technical High School.

PRINCIPAL Job responsibilities:
1. Responsible for the delivery of instruction of subject matter in both Shop and Related Theory, in conformity with departmental
curriculum objectives and the MA CVTE Curriculum Frameworks.

2. Utilizing MA curriculum Automotive Technology frameworks.

3. Establish and maintain a professional classroom/shop environment, with an emphasis on shop safety, strong work ethic, and
mastery of expertise.

4. Attend General Advisory Committee meetings.

5. Ensure expertise in the latest significant laws and regulations through conferences, workshops, and other professional
development opportunities.

6. Establish and implement specific goals in conformity with district-wide, school-wide, and department requirements.

7. Support the Department Head/Instructor in-charge in recommending program improvement, equipment & supply purchases, and
grant preparation.

8. Perform other tasks as assigned.

9. Responsible for assuring equal education opportunities to all individuals; regardless of race, gender, age, marital status, religion,

REQUIRED Appropriate qualifications:

1. Bachelors Degree
2. Massachusetts DESE licensure in Chapter 74 Automotive Technology 9-14
3. SEI Endorsement
4. Possession of ASE Master Automobile Technician Certification.
5. Curriculum development practice and expertise of integration of technical competencies with curriculum frameworks.
6. Five years of recent full-time employment practice directly related to Automotive Technology.
7. Competency in software and programming applications related to the subject matter.
8. Competency in the use of computer applications and instructional technology to aid in the interactive delivery of instruction.
9. Incorporate fundamentals of subject matter into the delivery of curriculum instruction

PREFERRED Appropriate qualifications:

1.Familiar with blending learning environment.
2.Advanced educational preparation.
3.Evidence of educational leadership abilities.
4.Evidence of good human relation expertise.
5.capability to develop & deliver instruction that helps to ensure program enrollment growth.
6.Evidence of or capability to meet industry-recognized credentials.
7.Authorized 10 & 30- Hour OSHA General Industry Trainer.
8.Strong documentation and organizational expertise.
9.Demonstrated practice supporting students with special needs.
10.capability to speak Albanian, Arabic, Nepali, Portuguese, Spanish, Vietnamese, or an African Language
11.practice teaching students who are English language learners
12.Demonstrated practice with second language acquisition.
13.Candidates who are licensed in another state will be considered if they qualify for the temporary license from DESE (must
possess the equivalent license from another state and must have documented proof of working under that license for at least
three complete school years). Candidates will need to apply for and pay for the DESE license as a condition of employment.
14.Massachusetts State Inspector License (non-commercial)
