WUCF FM is seeking an practiced Radio Producer to fulfill creative and continuing projects. Jazz and More 89.9 WUCF FM provides Orlando's Jazz soundtrack to listeners across Central Florida over the air and online and produces digital-first podcasts. JOB SUMMARY Creates content and programming for radio, television, digital-first podcasts, social media, and websites. Delivers significant programming to the community designed to engage listeners and viewers. Description of Job tasks » Audio program development for podcast and broadcast including brainstorming, scripting, research, scheduling, recording, editing, hosting, and producing. i.e.: Magazine, Side Player Stories, Pivoted. » Use station audio editing software to record audio as Host, or to edit Host/guest audio, assemble session with significant music/sound for finished program, upload to station playback system (ENCO), podcast platform, website, FTP or PRX site as appropriate. i.e.: Jazz and the American Spirit, Jazz Most Wanted Countdown, underwriting and promotional announcements. » Use station audio editing software to edit existing library program audio content for re-purposed additional use or length. Upload to station playback system (ENCO), podcast platform, website, FTP or PRX site as appropriate. I.e.: Jazz on the Beach, Live from Studio A, UCF Forum, Magazine. » Use station audio editing software to assemble, edit, and create individual show promos from the available source material. Upload to station playback system (ENCO). i.e.: Live from Studio A, Jazz Inspired, Magazine, Jazz Profiles. » Download program audio from an external provider. Convert to proper audio format. Edit as necessary. Upload to station playback system (ENCO). i.e.: Jazz Inspired, Smokestack Lightnin. » Save, label, and keep organized, all audio and written content. » Write, assign segments, assemble, edit and post monthly FM Newsletter in coordination with FM Director and Senior Director of Content. » Produce FCC quarterly Issues/Programs reports located on station content. » Create multiple weekly Social Media postings/promotion using Social News Desk. » Fulfill on-air activities as assigned, including live and automated music program hosting on an as-needed basis. » Facilitate studio broadcasts and recordings, ISDN feeds, and live call-ins and interviews as assigned. » Facilitate Live From Studio A Broadcasts. Set up equipment, assist sound checks, trouble-shoot problems, breakdown/store equipment. Facilitate main and backup recordings of performances. Edit and master live recordings for broadcast. Upload to station playback system (ENCO). Create/produce program promos. » Comply with university, local, state, and federal regulations related to program/content creation. » Fulfill other tasks as assigned.
