Job description

Children's Theatre Company (CTC) is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Ticketing Associate. This is a part-time 15 to 25-hour per week position with hours available Tuesday - Friday, 10am to 5pm, as well as weeknight and weekend daytime hours subject to our performance schedule. This position requires someone who is detail-oriented, collaborative and customer focused, and who can positively contribute to an anti-racist/anti-bias organization. candidates for this function should have robust problem-solving, communication, and inter-personal expertise.

POSITION SUMMARY:
During Tues - Fri business hours, Associates process single ticket, subscription, and Theatre Arts Training class orders and exchanges over the telephone, through the mail, and at the ticket office. During performances, Associates process will-call pick-up, ticket reprints, rush sales, and any other night-of ticketing requests. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys a high-activity atmosphere, making conversation, solving problems for others and who can retain a lot of information about a large product catalog.
This position reports to the Ticket Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Business Hour tasks
• Answer ticket office phone lines and help patrons.
• Process single ticket, season ticket, student matinee payments, and Theatre Arts Training orders by phone, mail or in person.
• Provide support for exchanges and other issues related to existing orders.
• Occasional outbound calling to subscribers.
Performance tasks
• Process in-person rush sales, ticket reprints, will-call pick-ups, and any other patron ticketing requests as time allows during pre-show.
• Accurately handle cash, check, and credit card payments.
• Assist patrons with wayfinding, access service requests, and general CTC queries.
• Occasionally answer phone calls from our Performance Hotline.
Other tasks
• Maintain working knowledge of and provide information on all performances, classes, camps, and subscriptions.
• Complete necessary everyday data entry and projects as assigned.
• Attend trainings and meetings as needed
Collaborate with all staff in the furtherance of CTC's goal of being an anti-racist/anti-bias theatre that works towards Justice, Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
• Encourage and empower everyone to speak out against racist and/or biased workplace practices and policies
• Positively contribute to the ACT One platform, creating a future where our theatre is a home for all people, all families, reflective of our community
COMPENSATION
The starting pay for this part-time position is $14.25 per hour. Benefits include sick and safe leave and the capability to contribute to a 403(b)-retirement savings plan.

Qualifications or requirements

Knowledge, expertise and Abilities
• Clerical - Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology

• Demonstrated skill with computerized ticketing system (preferably Tessitura) and phone sales preferred
• Demonstrated expertise with Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel a plus
• Previous practice in an arts organization a plus
Computer expertise
Must show a availability to lgain new technology and adapt easily to system changes

• MUST be available at least 10 hours per week
