The Part-time Proctor and Administrative Support Staff is responsible for proctoring tests in the Testing Center and providing administrative assistance at the Learning Commons Welcome Desk. The Part-time Administrative Support Staff will welcome students and assist students entering the Learning Commons. This position reports to the Director, Learning Commons. The Part-time Proctor and Administrative Support Staff has the following Job responsibilities: » Assist the Director, Learning Commons and the Coordinator, Testing Services in responding to testing needs in the Learning Commons » Administer and proctor tests (including testing at off campus locations) » Maintain open, robust and timely communication with colleagues and manager » Troubleshoot, document and communicate to Director, Learning Commons and the Coordinator, Testing Services technical difficulties related to electronic testing and assist students with regaining access to tests if necessary » Assist instructors in test pick-up in the Testing Center » Appropriately communicate academic integrity violations according to testing policies to the Director, Learning Commons and the Coordinator, Testing Services in a timely manner » Maintain confidentiality and security of student tests by following FERPA regulations, carefully monitoring student records at the workstation for security, and properly storing all student records » Maintain currency of expertise related to testing matters » Assist the Director, Learning Commons and the Coordinator, Testing Services in maintaining a quality learning and testing environment following policies and procedures » Provide customer service at the Learning Commons Welcome Desk by assessing the needs of students, faculty and staff » Provide students with requested information, thoroughly explain the information, and make referrals within the Learning Commons or college as appropriate » Answer and appropriately direct incoming calls and return voicemail and email messages in a timely manner » Assist in scheduling and checking in students for testing appointments » Provide administrative support for the Learning Commons » Assist students with tutoring sign in and out » Assist with data entry and reports as needed » Provide general computer assistance to students such as helping students print and navigating College and online tutoring platforms » Appropriately communicate and document academic integrity violations and student behavioral issues to the Director, Learning Commons in a timely manner » Assist the Learning Commons staff in maintaining a quality learning and testing environment following policies and procedures » Assist in monitoring the proper usage of the Learning Commons space » Assist in other areas of the Learning Commons as needed and appropriate » Work with the Director and other Learning Commons staff to develop significant evaluations of services and use data to inform decision making processes » Perform other tasks as assigned that support the College mission and initiatives » Promote College mission, vision and values
