Under the direction of the Program Director, the LDM will be responsible for the execution of VCET's leadership abilities development programs, including but not limited to: Virginia Progressive leadership abilities Project (VAPLP) and Staff of Color Roundtable (SCoR). Responsibilities Include: VAPLP (60%) Develop and implement a recruitment strategy to attract new candidates. Work with the Program Director and external facilitation teams to maintain an appropriate and timely curriculum. Produce corresponding training materials for each session. ??Implement the program's training sessions, including the logistics of program delivery. Set and track program goals. Manage the applications and nominations process, including conducting interviews and reference checks. Support cohort members in developing individual leadership abilities plans. Maintain the database of alumni. Create and execute alumni training workshops. Work with the communications team to manage the website and social media accounts. Write and send monthly newsletters and other communications related to the program. Represent the organization at meetings, convenings, events, panels, etc. to increase consciousness of the mission and programs of the organization. SCoR (25%) Create and execute a plan for monthly meetings for staff of color at partner organizations. Identify opportunities to grow the program. Solicit feedback from participants to design workshops that they'd find most beneficial. supervise logistics and coordination for meetings and other events. Administrative, Reporting and Special Projects (15%) Prepare reports for partner organizations and board meetings. Work with the Program Director, Executive Director, and partners to identify additional opportunities to build the leadership abilities development pipeline in Virginia. Other tasks as assigned. v expertise RequiredMinimum QualificationsDemonstrated capability to prioritize work and follow through on projects. Self-starter with the capability to work independently, lgain quickly, and think critically. Strong organization expertise and detail-oriented. Proficiency in Google Suites. Previous civic engagement or campaigns practice. Excellent written and verbal communication expertise. Effective interpersonal expertise. Demonstrated capability to build relationships and work collaboratively. Strong project management expertise. Previous practice working in the nonprofit or not-for-profit sector. Access to a vehicle, phone, and reliable internet. availability to travel in-state and occasionally out of state. Some events will require evenings, weekends, and overnights. Deep alignment with and passion for VCET's vision, mission, and values Additional InfoPreferred QualificationsFamiliarity with VAN (Voter Activation Network)/VoteBuilder and/or other civic engagement platforms (Action Network).
