The Opportunity This position is a critical component to delivering our mission by optimizing audience reach and engagement as well as building effective and efficient tagging solutions for our digital products. The Analyst of Audience Analytics will work with data sets to understand audience trends, consumption patterns, and donation behavior in order to provide analysis and guide key business decisions. this function will work with Marketing, Product, and Content teams to help the Manager of Audience Analytics identify audience strategies as well as to support the audience and membership funnels. This is a unique opportunity as the team is small and will require someone who is able to understand the business needs of our stakeholders, helpbuildingenterprise level strategies, and assist in promoting a data driven organization. This position will report to the Manager of Audience Analytics Essential tasks and Responsibilities » Enhance overall operations through development of compelling presentations and reports directed towards knowledge audience, content consumption, and listening platform patterns and behaviors driving towards a business recommendation or decision. » Create and maintain monthly and quarterly benchmarks - including measurement against goal and KPIs around audience trends. » Create, maintain, and distribute weekly and monthly audience reports. » Work with the Manager of Audience Analytics to develop presentation materials for key internal stakeholders, board meetings, funder meetings, grant proposals, staff meetings and other communications, rooted in both a quantitative as well as qualitative story. » Provide insight into the performance of digital products (web sites, donation platform, apps, etc.) and support iterative product development. » Perform detailed analysis on funnel conversion including referral source performance. » Assist in designing, implementing, and measuring A/B tests using tools such as Google Optimize. » Perform detailed analysis and present findings to the product development team. » Advocate for stakeholders during technical and solution discussions. » Collaborate with stakeholders to fully understand and articulate the audience and membership funnels. » Gather requirements and document business processes to assist in identifying areas of opportunity while ensuring business processes are aligned with audience and membership strategies. » Assist in training stakeholders on new products, enhancements, analytics models, and optimized business processes. » Build on-demand reporting solutions and tools for the marketing, audience growth, and content teams. » Gather requirements and work with stakeholders to design needed reporting. » Work with data architect on overall technical design. » Build and test necessary queries and reports using tools such as T-SQL, R, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, etc. » Support cross-team initiatives » Work closely with Marketing, Content, and Product team to deliver joint projects when required. » Take shared responsibility for the quality and accuracy of reports and analytics by following guidelines for peer reviews, data validation, and data integrity. » Escalate identified data integrity issues to the Data Architect. Required expertise and practice » Bachelor's degree inMathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or a related field. » 1 year of practice in data analysis and reporting. » 2 years of working with relational databases, large data sets, and writing complex T-SQL queries. » practice with visualizations using Excel, Power BI or Tableau. » practice with Nielsen, Google Analytics, and on-demand audio services. » practice presenting data-driven conclusions and results to colleagues. » Excellent communication and data presentation expertise. » Strong collaborative/teamwork expertise; a problem solver who is results oriented.
