Organizational Unit Overview This position is a part of the Pediatric Research Team. We support all the clinical research studies happening in the department. These studies are oriented to patient care and normally involve new drugs, devices, or tests to improve pediatric care. Our team works across all pediatric sub-specialties and assists with both grant funded and industry sponsored awards.

Job tasks The Clinical Research Coordinator is responsible for the following tasks:
• Assisting trial Investigator in screening and enrolling of potential patients for clinical trials
• Maintaining case report forms, charts and documentation
• Ensuring that all clinical activities are carried out in conformity with established research protocol and standards in compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedural requirements
• Processing lab samples
• Collecting and entering data as necessary
• Performing miscellaneous job-related tasks as assigned
• capability to be flexible with study assignments
• Excellent communication and organizational expertise
• Detail-oriented
• Familiarity with the Code of Federal Regulations as they pertain to human subject protection
• Strong interpersonal expertise
• Strong computer expertise

Minimum Education/practice Bachelor's degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or practice; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

License or Certification required by statute or regulation N/A

Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education An knowledge of Good Clinical Practice standards and practice with regulatory & IRB submissions will be highly valued. Knowledge of and significant practice in clinical research preferred. CCRC certification a plus, but not required. Research phlebotomy and EPIC training also preferred. Knowledge and capability to plan, assign, and review work of others preferred.
