About Our Job:

The Accounts Payable Specialist is responsible for all aspects of the accounts payable process as well as preparing general ledger entries and monthly account reconciliations and assisting with the month- and year-end close processes for CPR, KRCC, Denverite and all current and future related entities.

As a Accounts Payable Specialist, You Will:

   » Verify the accuracy of vendor invoices; confirm general ledger account codes are correct; request invoice approval
   » Monitor and maintain Accounts Payable e-mail inbox
   » Perform necessary research, acquire accurate information, and solve invoice issues using clear communication, both verbally and written format, to ensure timely resolution
   » Generate payments to vendors on a routine schedule; match checks with backup for review by Accounting manager
   » Review automatic payments to ensure correct coding and authorization as well as sufficient documentation
   » Maintain filing system for financial information, records, and documents to ensure easily available information
   » Monitor budget balances, track expenses, prepare analyses of accounts and related financial activity as requested
   » Manage Accounts Payable corporate credit card; complete reconciliation and coding of all credit card expenses
   » Maintain monthly pre-payments schedule
   » Perform month- and year-end closing processes
   » 1099 and W9 maintenance and filing
   » Serve as back-up to team members as necessary
   » Other job-related tasks as assigned

Minimum Appropriate qualifications:

   » High school diploma/GED required, or equivalent work practice
   » 3 - 5 years of practice broadly related to the position's responsibilities required
   » practice with general ledger functions and month- and year-end close processes
   » Intermediate to advance expertise in Microsoft Office Suites
   » practice with accounting systems

Preferred Appropriate qualifications:

   » Non-profit practice

   » practice with Google Drive
