Preference for awarding this assignment will be given to those individuals who are appointed Word Processor. ACCOUNTcapability OBJECTIVE: This position is accountable for performing office work of ordinary difficulty and responsibility calling for care and accuracy in detail and for individual judgment in the application of a standardized routine and compliance with definite instructions or regulations; or to operate a computer in connection with such tasks; and to execute related work as required. PRINCIPAL Job responsibilities: 1.Responsible for showing excellent customer service expertise including a calm and professional phone manner and the capability to take complete and accurate messages. 2.Responsible for serving as an interpreter when needed, and must be fluent in Spanish and English. 3.Responsible for multitasking in a busy office environment where there is a continual need to prioritize. 4.Responsible for proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office including development and use of Excel, spreadsheets, graphs, charts, PowerPoint and word processing. 5.Responsible for performing basic arithmetical computations in tabulating data and in keeping basic accounts. 6.Responsible for sorting and filing letters, reports, and memoranda according to prescribed method. 7.Responsible for acting as receptionist, routing visitors to proper office or employee. 8.Responsible for being able to operate any and all common office machines. 9.Responsible for assuring equal educational opportunity to all individuals regardless of race, color, gender, age, marital status, religion, gender identity, natural origin, sexual orientation, homelessness, or discapability. 10.Performance of other job-related tasks as assigned.
