Organizational Unit Overview The mission of the Financial Aid Office is to help students and families identify resources to assist them in attaining an East Carolina University education.

Job tasks The primary purpose of this position is to advise students and parents about financial aid programs, eligibility requirements, financing options and policies and procedures at the University. The specialist provides information and advise about all financial aid programs and reviews and analyzes financial aid applications and records. The specialist resolves conflicting information, investigates unusual situations, and decides the outcome. This position will provide a variety of financial aid information to students.

Minimum Education/practice Bachelor's degree; or equivalent combination of training and practice. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

License or Certification required by statute or regulation N/A

Preferred practice, expertise, Training/Education Bachelor's Degree and at least one year of practice working in Financial Aid, Admissions, Scholarships, Higher Education, Banking or Accounting.

License or Certification required by the Department N/A
