Little Bee Books is seeking an Inventory Manager for all imprints including Little Bee Books, BuzzPop, and Yellow Jacket. We are a children's book publisher dedicated to making high-quality, creative, and fun books for busy little bees of all ages. Little Bee Books offers an inspired selection of board books, novelty books, activity books, picture books, chapter books, nonfiction, gift sets, middle grade fiction, graphic novels, and more. The Inventory Manager will maintain adequate levels of inventory to meet everyday sales demands, minimize excess supply, maintain annual inventory budgets, and assist in inventory accounting across all three imprints.

*This position is temporarily remote and will be located full-time out of our New York City offices.

RESPONSIBILITIES
• Monitor sales and inventory levels and replenish stock as needed for over 1,300 + titles
• Forecast supply and demand across all titles to ensure future stock availcapability.
• Manage inventory deposition, refurbishment, and hurt rules and processes.
• Perform regular stock checks and resolve inconsistencies with the warehouse and management.
• Coordinate inventory initial print run solicitation process.
• Manage biweekly reprint inventory meeting.
• Issue RFQs to production and run reprint title P&Ls.
• Communicate with freight forwarder and warehouse to make sure deliveries arrive as scheduled.
• Assist with seasonal remainder and overstock lists for review.
• Assist in everyday and month-end inventory accounting including posting receiving, adjustment, reconciliation, and other entries.
• Coordinate with finance, editorial, production, sales, and warehouse personnel on inventory-related matters.
• Review and develop workflow process to improve efficiencies and productivity.
• Create and maintain schedules and status reports.
• Comply with financial and other company accounting/fiscal practices.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university preferred, or college course work and expertise gained through equivalent work practice.
• 5+ years progressively responsible in inventory function in the book publishing.
• Direct practice superviseing book inventory processes in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
• capability to turn loosely defined requirements into initiatives with a measurable outcome and a proven track record of prosperous project execution.
• practice operating workflow management systems.
• capability to deal with difficult and complex issues.
• Solid people and team management practice and the capability to establish and maintain productive relationships across a range of functional, professional, and cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent critical, creative thinking, and problem-solving expertise.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Excellent communication expertise, both written and verbal.
• Strong practice managing vendor performance and relationships.
