Requirements: Sanford J. Greenburger Associates' scouting department has an opening for a children's book scout. As a major scouting office in New York, we represent a distinguished group of foreign publishers for whom we read and evaluate a wide variety of children's titles (including Young Adult, Middle Grade, and Picture Books). The position comes with immediate coverage responsibilities and requires an astute reader who is well-versed in all varieties of children's literature.
* Have at least 2 to 3 years of practice in book publishing (preferably from the editorial or agenting side of the business) * Have excellent communication expertise, written and spoken. * Are outgoing and able to build strong relationships * Are detail-oriented, organized, and can thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
