The RMPM Sales Support Specialist provides sales and administrative support to the statewide Underwriting team working to secure underwriting and sponsorship for our multi-media portfolio of assets including Rocky Mountain Public Television, Create, World, PBS Kids 24/7 television channels, KUVO and THE DROP radio and RMPM digital sales. Essential tasks & Job responsibilities: » Maintains the Underwriting Department's contract files - by station, by client. » Serve as a Salesforce administrator to ensure consistent, accurate and timely use of this sales tool including accurate entry of orders and reporting when needed and assist Account Executives with updating account lists and maintaining client database » Responsible for assisting AE's in the accurate & timely management of all department orders received from clients » Become familiar with RMPM sales and placements processes and procedures including traffic, copy and sales posting » Serve as a liaison in coordinating scheduling with traffic department to ensure contract fulfillment » Assist UW team to help facilitate billing and collections » Assist in the prospecting process for new underwriting clients and the renewing of existing clients including research and reporting as requested by Underwriting Director and VP of division » Verifies Underwriting Department fulfillment with event and sponsorship commitments Assist Account Executives in preparation of client proposals and packages as requested by Underwriting Director and VP of division » Maintain the Underwriting marketing toolkits with proper one-sheets/presentations, forms, and media kits » For Underwriting contracts that contain Digital Placements, SSS will assist the AE's in entering the placements into the Digital Assets Tracking Spreadsheet and be the liaison with the Traffic department to coordinate the proper execution of all digital assets » Provide assistance on market research tools, as may occasionally be requested by Underwriting Director and VP of division, that aid in selling, including Scarborough and Nielsen with training provided » Occasional staffing of RMPM booth(s) at community/business events » Actively participates in RMPM's Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) training program. Uses key standards and teachings of DEI training in all aspects of their work. Other tasks, as assigned. Minimum Qualifications of Position: » A minimum of three years practice in radio, television sales, sales support, marketing or equivalent, significant job practice. Preferred Qualifications/expertise: » capability to lead projects independently, but able to work effectively as part of a team; » Self-starter with strong initiative and a availability to problem solve; » Must have strong expertise or knowledge of multiple platforms used to build digital, web and volunteer communities; » Excellent intergroup, communication, organizational, and analytical expertise; » Demonstrated capability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, work with a team, take direction from various directors, and work within established budgets. » High proficiency with Microsoft Office suite a must with a specific focus on Excel and PowerPoint » Is available some weekends and evenings to represent RMPM at community events, client functions and/or festivals; » practice in Salesforce or other CRM database » Deadline-oriented with a commitment to collaboration both internally and externally is essential. » Strong customer service expertise and demonstrated capability to communicate effectively in both oral and written forms a must. » Commitment to our mission and to demonstrating our organizational values of integrity, collaboration and responsiveness.
