avoidance Specialist:Job description:avoidance SpecialistSexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA)OrganizationSexual Assault Resource Agency (SARA) TypeFull Time Application DeadlineDecember 19, 2021 College Degree Required?No income Range$42,000-43,000 commensurate with practice EmailE-Mail: avoidance@saracville.org Phone(434) 295-7273 Job detailavoidance Specialists serve on SARA's avoidance Team. this function will be responsible for increasing engagement with men, and facilitating harassment avoidance in restaurants.Job tasksJob responsibilities include assisting with a range of avoidance programming, including:(1) Recruiting, training, and supporting partners for the Ten Men year-long cohort, which engages male-identified community leaders in primary avoidance efforts, through a monthly training and mobilization program that focuses on emotional literacy, equity, and changing social norms for violence avoidance; and (2) Establishing partnerships and providing training and support to restaurants and small businesses implementing the On the Fly system to promote workplace safety, bystander intervention, communication, and avoidance of sexual harassment. We are seeking for a candidate with a strong teamwork and service mentality. Candidates must possess a passion for cultivating healthy masculinity and dismantling sexism in self and/or others. expertise RequiredDesired expertise include an capability to develop significant partnerships in the community, cultural competency and cultural humility, adaptcapability, long-term planning, training and teaching, listening expertise, and an capability to connect with adult learners.
