Assignments include a wide variety of constantly evolving activities and projects. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES The Finance and Accounting Manager will be expected to execute all the following responsibilities in a timely and accurate manner. » Assist the Controller in the overall day-to-day finance and accounting operations for Metropolitan Indianapolis Public Media, Inc. » ManageFinance and Accounting staff, other than the Revenue Manager » Hire,coach, mentor, and develop staff » Provide oversight and direction to staff in conformity with WFYI's policies and procedures » Foster a spirit of collaborative teamwork and organizational unity » Accounts Payable Management, including but not limited to directly providing review and oversight of all accounts payable functions such as: » Company credit card and employee reimbursement management using SAP Concur » Data entry, general ledger coding and disbursements for all entities » Other activities involved in the day-to-day management of accounts payable » Producing related reporting (including 1099's) and reconciliations » Purchase order processing and tracking » Payroll Processing, including but not limited to: » Preparation of all payroll journal entries » Preparation of all payroll journal entries » Processing all payroll change requests in ADP » Retirement and health savings account funding » Retirement and health savings account funding OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ad-hoc assistance » Annual sales tax returns and personal property tax returns » Audit and or tax support work papers » Balance sheet account reconciliations » Budget, CPB reporting » Financial and accounting analyses » Journal entries » Special projects » Various financial and accounting reconciliations » Cross training to provide back-up for other accounting personnel on an as needed basis » Financial Reporting: Work closely with other WFYI stakeholders to ensure information is being accurately and consistently classified in the appropriate accounts » Fixed asset and depreciation reporting and related account reconciliations » Prepaid expense and amortization reporting and related account reconciliations » Works directly with the Revenue Accounting Specialist to ensure coordination between the areas » Performs other tasks as assigned EDUCATION AND/OR practice to execute this job prosperously, an individual must have the following education and/or practice unless otherwise noted below.
