Position Summary The College of Engineering for School of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science invites applications for 9-month part-time instructors to teach on a term by term basis for the 2021-2022 academic year. These appointments are fixed-term, non-tenure track, with the possibility of renewal at the discretion of the School Head. Some of these appointments may be reviewed for renewal or transition to an instructional position on an annual basis at the discretion of the School Head.

Instructors may be needed to teach courses in E-campus, undergraduate and graduate areas.

The school offers Bachelor of Science (BS), Master of Science (MS), Master of Engineering (ME), and Doctorate (PhD) degrees. The curriculum encompasses three fields: Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and Computer Engineering. The department has approximately 3,100 undergraduate students and 450 graduate students. The faculty includes 89 teaching faculty members.

Position tasks 95% Teaching
Instructors may be needed to teach courses in the following areas: Computer Literacy, Introductory Programming, Web Authoring, Software Engineering, Operating Systems, Introduction to Electrical and Computer Engineering, Web Development, Machine Learning, Theory of Computation, Computer Security, Networking, Graphics Programming, Interface Design and Human Factors, Software Project Management, or other courses

5% Supervision
Provides leadership abilities, supervision and direction for graduate teaching adjuncts and student workers.

Minimum/Required Qualifications Master of Arts (MA)/Master of Science (MS) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

Evident commitment to cultural diversity and educational equity.

Teaching practice at the college or university level.

Preferred (Special) Qualifications PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or closely related field.

A demonstrable commitment to promoting and enhancing diversity.
