ZH Architects is an award-winning firm, that specializes in High-Performance Buildings is seeking a junior candidate with +/- 2 years of professional practice candidate to join our talented team of collaborators. Our work primarily consists of single and multi-family residential projects with a focus on design and deep sustaincapability. Those who thrive at ZH are multi-faceted designers who are ready to dive into all aspects of design and construction, can communicate clearly with consultants and contractors, and are able to develop trusting relationships with our clients. This position requires deep involvement in all aspects of architecture, and We are pursuing an individual who is motivated to take on responsibility and grow with our firm. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a previous commitment to designing sustainable projects holding a degree with a focus on sustainable architecture or previous work practice demonstrating the same. Our goal is to hire someone who is ready to lgain and push the boundaries of their expertise. ZH will support this effort with direct practice in working on Passive House projects, internal learning sessions on Passive House and Mass Timber detailing, and the opportunity to participate in conferences and tours with the firm. Equally important are strong design and detailing expertise and the capability to communicate ideas visually. Presentations are critical to communicating with our clients and expertise in the Adobe creative suite programs as well as a 3-d program such as SketchUp, Lumion, Rhino, 3dStudio max or Maya will be required.
